Event update

Following the announcement from the Victorian Government on Sunday 19 September 2021 regarding the state's roadmap out of lockdown, we are unfortunately advising that the 2021 GWM IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne will no longer be taking place as planned on 14 November.

The timings and restrictions within the roadmap continue to have a significant impact on our ability to prepare and deliver this event.

All registered athletes have been sent an email detailing their options given this announcement. If you are one of these athletes and do not receive an email by Thursday 23 September, please let us know.

Having anticipated this possibility, our team had already been working behind the scenes to secure a new date for the 2021 event and are pleased to advise that the 2021 GWM IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne has been rescheduled to Sunday 20 March 2022.

There’s a new IRONMAN 70.3 coming to Oceania and it’s coming to Melbourne! With a big city buzz, Melbourne is alive and on the go making this event unlike any other Oceania race on the circuit.

Race village is located in St Kilda, which is renowned for its colourful past, expansive views of Port Phillip Bay, safe sandy beach, palm-lined boardwalk, iconic buildings, gorgeous sunsets and stunning parks and gardens. The course is centrally located, spectator friendly and a super quick scenic course that will be great for newcomers and seasoned athletes keen to record a fast time.
